Situated on beautiful Macleay Island, The Blue Parrot offers a warm and friendly atmosphere overlooking a natural bush setting and views across the bay to Karragarra Island.

Currently open 6 days (7 in December & January) and 5 nights a week, The Blue Parrot Cafe & Restaurant provides a variety of meals from 3 different menus; breakfast, lunch and a spearate dinner menu, plus a range of genuinely homemade desserts.

We are fully licensed to serve alcohol with meals and have a selection of wines and beers to choose from.

The picturesque setting provides a relaxing background for enjoying a tasty meal with a refreshing cool glass of your choice. BYO is available Monday to Thursday inclusive. Dine indoors or alfresco on the balcony or the piazza area.

Breakfast

Breakfast is available until 11.30am, in addition to standard items of Bacon, Eggs, Tomato and Toast, also included in the menu are: Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs on Turkish Bread, Lambs Fry, Eggs Benedict etc.

Coffee & Tea

Coffee is made with the full flavoured Grinders Coffee. Come and enjoy the Bay Islands best Cappuccino or Flat White for only $3.00 or maybe your preference is for a Short or Long Black, Latte, Flavoured Latte or Iced Coffee.

We also offer Milk Shakes, Smoothies, Iced Chocolate, Iced Teas and Soft Drinks.

Lunch

The lunch menu has a selection of Breads, Appetizers, Toasted Fingers, Sandwiches, Gourmet Sandwiches, Wraps, Pizzas, Fish and Chips, Steak Sandwich, Filet Mignon, Thai Green Curry, Fish of the Day, Lamb Korma etc.

Dinner

The dinner menu changes more frequently than the others but always offers a range of Breads, Entrees (including Oysters and Prawns), Salads, and the main courses include at least one Vegetarian, Chicken, Pork, Steak and Fish dishes.

A variety of Slices and Muffins, made on the premises, are available for $3.00, e.g. Chocolate Caramel, Brownies, Date and Walnut Slice, etc. Cakes from $3.00, Scones $3.50. Our Dessert Menu is available throughout the day – desserts vary but generally include a Cheesecake, Crème Brulee, Chocolate and Almond Torte, Mango and Custard Cake and Sticky Date Pudding all served with Ice cream.
